Service Saturdays

  • St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 6306 Kenwood Avenue Dallas, TX, 75214 United States (map)

Would you like to make a difference? Are you looking for opportunities to love thy neighbor by serving the poorest of the poor?

STA is partnering with Project Finding Calcutta to offer a half day of service in the spirit of Mother Teresa. We will begin with fellowship and orientation at 9:00 a.m. in the Church parking lot and then separate into smaller groups to comfort the elderly by gardening at a nursing home, help the Missionaries of Charity sisters to assist low income families, organize supplies at a food pantry, and feed the homeless on the streets.

This is a family friendly event. Everyone under 18 should be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Please join our GroupMe to be notified about upcoming service projects. Like Mother Teresa said, “let us do something beautiful for God.”

Please RSVP here, so we can line up enough projects for everyone.

Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering, and the lonely, right where you are — in your own homes and in your own families, in homes and in your workplaces and in your schools. You can find Calcutta all over the world, if you have eyes to see.” – Mother Teresa
