Amusing Ourselves to Death

Amusing Ourselves to Death: Teaching as an Amusing Activity

In his book Amusing Ourselves to Death the American author and educator Neil Postman argued that television would and has had deleterious effects on education. 35 years later, we have gone beyond mere television. Is education in peril? We will investigate that question by discussing chapter 10 of Postman's Amusing Ourselves To Death.

Please read these few pages before the event to get the best out of the presentation.
