Sacred Liturgy Series: Signs, Symbols, and Language

Join us for the second part of the Sacred Liturgy Series on Signs, Symbols, and Language.

Brandon Barker will be our guest speaker this month.

Brandon was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. The eldest of three kids, he grew up in a devout Baptist household. He had a Prodigal Son-like experience throughout his early twenties before a profound conversion and reunion with the heavenly Father at age 26. Planning on becoming a Protestant pastor or seminary professor, he began an intensive study of the Bible and was sent by his church community to Dallas Theological Seminary. The more he immersed myself in Scripture and Church History, the more he found it to support the Catholic faith. Eventually, he was compelled in conscience to enter the Catholic Church, which he did in 2009.

Brandon began serving at St. Thomas Aquinas in 2011 and his current position is the Director of Evangelization and Discipleship. He hold a marketing and business degree from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Theological Studies from the University of Dallas. He currently live on a farm with his wife, Ericha, and his daughter and four sons.
